Focuses on 'Repairing Them, Not Us'. Suitable for older EVs with depreciated value, or rarely driven cars. Keeps you legal and protects you from liability claims.

⚠️ Important Note on 'Battery'

Most Type 2+ and 3 plans DO NOT cover battery damage caused by non-vehicle accidents (e.g., hitting a curb). They only cover 'Car vs Car' collisions.

If battery coverage is your main concern, we strongly recommend sticking with Type 1 Insurance.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: Does Type 3 cover the EV battery?

Usually 'No'. If the battery is damaged, you pay for repairs yourself. Type 3 mainly covers damages to the third party.

Q: My EV is over 7 years old. Is Type 2+ good?

Yes! It is the best alternative to Type 1 because it still covers Theft and Fire, which are major risks for older EVs.

Q: Is cheap EV insurance cheaper than gas cars?

For Type 2+ and 3, prices are very similar to gas cars (starting at a few thousand THB), unlike Type 1 where EVs are significantly more expensive.

Q: Can I pay in installments?

Yes! PrakanEV offers 0% installment plans for 3-6 months, even for budget insurance plans.
