Frequently Asked Questions

Everything about EV insurance — answered.

Q. How is EV insurance different from petrol-car insurance?

The most important point is battery coverage. An EV policy must state clearly whether the high-voltage battery is covered at 100% or with a depreciation deduction, and whether it also covers your home charger (Wallbox). PrakanEV only lists plans that cover both in full.

Q. Are battery claims difficult?

If an accident damages the battery, the insurer assesses the damage. When a replacement is needed, most plans pay out up to the sum insured. We recommend choosing an insurer with real EV expertise to keep the claim smooth.

Q. Can I pay in installments?

Yes. We offer 0% installments for up to 10 months with major credit cards (KBank, SCB, KTC and others). Your cover starts as soon as the first installment is paid.

Q. Can I pay in installments without a credit card?

At the moment we accept credit cards only, which keeps payment secure and lets us issue the policy quickly.

Q. How soon am I covered after payment?

Immediately. You choose your own start date. The printed policy takes 7–14 days to arrive, but you receive a confirmation number within 24 hours that proves your cover is active.
